Verizon announced their plans to revamp wireless plans. The new plans drop the idea of limited minutes and text messages in favor of unlimited calling and texting with a fixed data cap.
The prices of the new plans will be between current limited-minutes and text plans and unlimited plans. Most consumers however are on fixed-limit plans and their prices will increase.
The new plan is termed “Share Everything” and is designed to host multiple devices on one plan– whether a family or one person’s phone, tablet, and laptop. Up to 10 devices can be on the plan and mobile hotspot is now included for free. Each device pays an access fee and shares data with a large pool among the plan.
For multiple device users costs may go down but for most, expect to pay more to Big Red.
