Droid Razr launches, $111.11 at Amazon for launch day only

Verizon Wireless launched the Droid Razr today, 11/11/11, at exactly 11:11 am. This in its self is pretty playful but Amazon just upped the ante. If you go over to Amazon Wireless today you will be able to purchase the new Razr at just $111.11. For a phone who’s MSRP is at $299.99 this is a no brainer, but you will need to sign up for a new 2-year contract.

The Motorola Droid Razr is supposed to be the world’s thinnest smartphone and it’s the first Razr released in years. Many will remember the iconic flip phone from a few years back and this newest release in the family line is sure to become just as popular. The Droid Razr supports Verizon’s 4G LTE network and comes fully prepared with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also boasts an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 1.3-megapixel front camera to match. And relax, the 4G will not sap up your battery life as you would expect because the Droid Razr features Smart Actions software which allows you to pair pre-programmed tasked to locations and could help automate tasks for batter conservations.

With a sleek design and an epic namesake to boot, the Droid Razr stands a good chance of becoming the next “it” smartphone.
