Apple’s iPhone event officially announced!

Save the date people. Apple just officially announced that it will hold its iPhone event at the Cuperino campus on Oct. 4th! This will be the first event Apple hosts with Tim Cook as its CEO.

Last time Apple held its iPhone event in June 2010, it released the iPhone 4. So obviously expected, is the arrival of the iPhone 5 as well as a cheaper version of the iPhone 4. The new model is rumored to include a number of upgrades from version 4 but some of the most anticipated features  will (allegedly) include a larger screen, an 8 MP camera, 1 GB of RAM and a nice aluminum back to bring it all together.

As many have suggested from the Nielsen data of smartphone sales from the summer, a large number of consumers have been waiting for this moment. The demand for the newest incarnation of the original smartphone is projected to be quite high. And now that the iPhone is accessible within the Verizon network (and even Sprint might get in on the action,) sales for the iPhone 5 should reach all time highs.
