The developers of the incredibly successful Skyrim V: The Ender Scrolls over at Bethesda Game Studios have spoiled us with a treat today with the release of the Skyrim add-on coming this summer.
The 1:37 minute long trailer for the Skyrim Add-On leaves one at the edge of their seat. It looks like you could be doing some work for a vampire lord in his attempts to capture the Elder Scrolls and use them to blanket the world in an ever-lasting darkness. But standing in his way is the Dawngaurd, a group poised to fight his vampire horde. Will you decide “To make the darkness your own? To feast on the souls of the living? Or are you with [the Dawnguard]?”
The download Dawnguard comes out this summer and will be available exclusively for Xbox 360 for 30 days. Bethesda is calling Downguard a “game add-on” instead of “downloadable content” and confirms what Todd Howard, Skyrim’s creative lead, said a few months ago that the company wanted to take more time to develop a thorough follow up. Hopefully Downguard will feel more like an “expansion pack” as Todd suggests. Either way, we can’t wait to get our hands on it!
