Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword made an appearence at E3 last week and although it didn't receive the critical praise that Kirby's Epic Yarn or Epic Mickey did, there were still folks lining up in droves to play Links' latest adventure. It turns out that adventure might not only be played solo.
While speaking with Gameinformer, Eiji Aonuma, a producer of the series stated: "having people play together is a theme that's always stuck in my mind [although he always puts what's best for the series first]".
There was an attempt at Zelda multiplayer before, in Four Swords however, the plan this time would be a little different. Speaking on Multiplayer, Aonuma said:
"Let's say a player does something in their game that affects an area, and then that is communicated back to another system, and that would introduce new elements to your game. I find that sort of communication really interesting."
Sadly, this type of experience won't be taking place in Skyward Sword, however, DLC is a possibility. When asked about the subject, Aonuma only revealed that the team is "thinking about it."
So, no confirmation as to DLC, but it would definitely be an intriguing addition to the franchise. We'll keep you posted as more news becomes available.
