Far and away the toast of this year's E3 was the 3DS. While Sony and Microsoft were finally catching up in the motion-control department, Nintendo was already showing the world what the future might look like with glasses-free 3D. Well, it turns out that videogames aren't the only thing that the 3DS might be able to do in 3D. In an interview with Forbes Magazine, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata stated:
"Technologically speaking, a variety of different things are possible with the 3DS, for example, 3D video chat."
That being said, there's no official word on whether or not there will be a videochat program available for the 3DS, although 3D pictures can be taken using the two camera lenses on the front of Nintendo's newest handheld. Until we hear more though, chalk this up in the "definitely cool" category.
