Some of you may have noticed some downtime for PSN downtime yesterday; well, it was for good reason, as the downtime was part of a firmware update which now allows your PS3 to play 3D games. After you download and install the update you will be all set to go so long as you have a 3D TV.
Sony also announced that there would be four 3D compatible games available for download, these are: Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD, PAIN, and a demo of Motorstorm Pacific Rift.
Sony also announced that The Fight: Lights Out, a move compatible game, will also be 3D compatible.
Hopefully this transition goes off smoothly, as even though I would feel positively silly wearing 3D glasses whenever I play videogames, fully 3D Halo would be pretty cool.
