The Chief Designer for Apple, Jonathan Ive, is now Sir Jonathan Ive after receiving his knighthood from Princess Anne. Officially he is now a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire for “services to design and enterprise.”
Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of industrial design, was instrumental in the resurgence of Apple. He was hand picked by the late Steve Jobs and given free reign to design Apple products. His first design success was with the colorful iMacs which revitalize Apple. He went to design the iPod, the MacBooks, the iPhone, and the iPad. Not too shabby for a 46 year old who claims his most important works are still ahead of him.

Incidentally, Queen Elizabeth apparently owns both the iPod and the iPad.
