All Things D have reported that Apple will announce the iPad 3 during the first week of March. According to reports it will feature a much faster processor, onboard graphics unit, a better camera, and a super high-resolution display using the same “Retina Display” name as the iPhone 4 and 4S.
This would follow Apple’s trend of releasing an update one year after the last. The iPad 2 was announced on March 2, 2011 and sold on March 11, 2011. We expect that the iPad 3 will be available within two weeks after announcement. Leaks coming from the iPad production facility in China have pointed towards a much more advanced device. Let’s see if they will drop the price to remain competitive with the currently hot Android tablets on the market.
