Today marked the beginning of E3 for industry professionals and journalists from all over the globe as the first day of registration took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Media badges were passed out for some of the largest events taking place tomorrow with Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft. We picked up our media badges, took a quick tour of the West Hall and snuck a few pics before security kindly told us to put away our cameras.
As we close in on the launch of the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo, members of the gaming industry and community leaders gather together to celebrate its largest annual event. Tonight was no different as Xbox Live’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb, Stephen “Stepto” Toulouse, Eric “e” Neustadter, and Eric “DMZilla” Doty hosted a Tweetup event at Lucky Strike Lanes on Olympic Blvd. in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The air was electric as journalists and community fans alike gathered together to meet their favorite Xbox Live personalities and even take part in a chance to win a ticket to see the 2011 Microsoft E3 Media Briefing taking place tomorrow.
pnosker.com was there with our good friend, Marco Pasqua, from AbleGamers.com to take in the sights and sounds of the event and rub elbows with some of our favorite Xbox Live personalities. Yours truly managed to score a copy of Stepto’s book, “A Microsoft Life” and get it signed by the man personally. Among the giveaways, drinks, and food, fans were also able to take part in pool and bowling in the main party room on Microsoft’s dime.
As we close out today, we’re already working hard to prep for our next day’s work. Tomorrow, we’ll be up bright and early to get over to cover Microsoft, Ubisoft and Sony’s Media events live and on-site. We’ll be delivering you the latest news and announcements as they occur, so stay tuned here at pnosker.com.
