Feb 2nd: Yakuza Demo, Michael Phelps Video Game, and Anarchy Reigns

In perhaps one of the strangest celebrity video games ever, Michael Phelps will be coming to your Kinect after an announcement today of a swimming game bearing his name. In addition to the Olympic superstar, we've also got another Mad Catz partnership and a bunch of news from SEGA.

Yakuza 4 is about a month out from release here in the states, but PlayStation users will be able to get their hands on a demo before the game releases.  PlayStation Plus subscribers will get first crack at the demo come February 16th while regular PSN users will just have to wait until February 23rd.

The demo will sport four different characters and give you a taste of crime life before the game's launch on March 15th.

It was only a matter of time until the Kinect spawned some serious sports simulation titles, although the form is a little bit surprising.  Today 505 Games announced that they are working in partnership with 14-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps to create Michael Phelps — Push The Limit, a swimming game created exclusively for the Kinect.

Not many details were made known other than that there will be a career mode where you'll be able to compete in tournaments all across the world.  Color us a little bit skeptical as to how the final product will turn out, but we'll see just how well 505 can translate the intricacies of swimming to on-land motion come June.

Love it or hate it, Dynasty Warriors has always been known for its button mashing combat and seven looks to be no exception.  Today Tecmo Koei released a new trailer for the upcoming hack-n'-slash game which shows off some new weapons, characters, and features.

Looks like more of the same, which can be both a good or bad thing depending on your perspective on the series.  Dynasty Warriors 7 will launch on March 22nd on both the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Mad Catz is signing up deals all over the place over the past week.  First signed a deal with Epic to produce branded accessories for Gears of War 3 and now they have entered into a deal with Microsoft to produce branded headsets using both the Tritton and the Xbox brand.

We were able to try out the Tritton technology at this year's CES and were relatively impressed with how comfortable the headsets were and the sound quality, so this announcement bodes well for you if you're in the market for a new headset.  These wireless 5.1 Surround sound headsets won't be on store shelves soon, but they will be out in time for the holiday season.

If there's one thing Platinum Games knows it's style.  If this latest trailer for one of the characters is any indication, they will be putting that knowledge to good use in their upcoming brawler Anarchy Reigns.  Have a look at the character profile for Sasha.

Anarchy Reigns will be out in the Fall for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

[Anarchy Reigns]-$59.99(PS3) and $59.99(Xbox 360)
