Guardian of Light To Not Initially Feature Co-op

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is launching next week in order to cap off the Summer of Arcade, however, players who purchase the game right away will not have access to co-op, voice chat, or leaderboads.  Instead, if you want access these features, you will have to wait until a free patch is released on September 28th, the same date that the PS3 and PC versions of the game are released.  This change was made so as to allow for more time to polish the co-op portion of the game.

The addition of Co-op will not be the only patch though, as Crystal Dynamics will be releasing a series of five add-ons between the months of October and December.  The first three of these will add new gameplay elements while the last two will bring in new playable characters, although there has been no word on just who those characters will be.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be released on August 18th for 1200 MSP as part of the Summer of Arcade on Xbox LIVE.  It will be released on the PSN and Steam on September 28th for $15
