In case you didn’t see, a little while ago we posted our first iPad case review with the Otterbox iPad 2 Defender Series Case and now we’re delving into our first iPad 2 bag, the Kenton Sorenson Leather iPad Portfolio from Context Clothing.
We gave a sterling reputation to the Otterbox iPad 2 Defender Series Case and if anything this bag may be better. It’s made of thick leather that drives up the cost of this particular bag to $190.00. It’s more than a bit pricey but this may be the most stylish, durable, fashionable iPad 2 bag out there.
The bag itself isn’t particularly thick in and of itself but since it’s constructed of this high quality leather previously mentioned, nothing is penetrating the exterior of this bag. Once you slip your iPad 2 inside the bag, nothing is going to hurt it. The leather is still soft enough to harm the device itself so you’ll be fine with that aspect as well.
The bag reminds you of something Indiana Jones would carry around to confront aliens with. The leather strap wraps around the bag multiple times so you know for sure that the thing isn’t busting open. You effectively tie some sort of knot that’s very easy to undo to seal your iPad in. The strap also can hold the bag open for when you use the iPad.
It’s also a very versatile bag. While it’s specifically designed for the iPad, a Kindle or any kind of tablet will fit comfortably inside the bag. The fit obviously won’t be as snug but the bag will still protect those items just the same.
It may not be made purely for protection as Otterbox’s cases are but this bag provides an amount of style that few others will provide you. While it is quite pricey, it’s worth it for a bag with this kind of style that backs it up with substantial substance.
