OtterBox Commuter Series Case for Motorola Droid

The Otterbox Commuter Series Case for the Motorola Droid indeed does the job. The casing protecting the phone is made up of a durable plastic, while rubber lines the inside allowing for a soft touch against the phone itself.

The case was surely not desiged to allow quick and frequent insertion and removal of the phone. The phone slips into the rear part of case easy enough, while the plastic trim which encompasses the front border of the phone I found significantly difficult to remove. Although, considering the purpose of the case – protection – this is likely a good thing. The overall feel of the phone (with the case on) in your hand is comfortable, with the smoothness of the plastic possibly adding improvement to the already less than round edges of the phone itself.

Personally, with the Motorola Droid already being a hefty phone itself, I would elect to for no casing as I enjoy feeling the naked phone in my hands as slim as it can be. Although, if you are looking for protection OtterBox succeeds in accomplishing this.
