Sean Parker Joins Twitter

Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster and former president of Facebook has made his Twitter debut today. If you go to his twitter account (@sparker) you will see only one tweet so far. “Sorry Zuck, I had to do it eventually. (Actually @scooterbraun made me do it.)” He is sending an apology via tweet to current Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. Scooter Braun is Justin Bieber’s manager by the way.

Sean Parker's first and, so far, only Tweet

Sean has been popping up all the place these days. First, he made the cover of Forbes. Also, if you we logged into Facebook, you would have seen the ads asking users to “Like” Sean Parker.

It seems that these PR stunts were planned out in an effort to generate some buzz for his upcoming blog. His account has been verified by twitter so there should be no hesitations on following him. In the time it has taken me to write this short article, his account has jusmped from around 7,700 followers to about 9,500!

The question on everyone’s mind now is “What’s next?” Is he involved in some project we have yet to hear about? Is he developing a new company? Will he be 100% invested in his blog? Or is he just playing with everyone? Only time will tell.

If you want to see the viral nature of Twitter frist hand, follow Parker on Twitter and check back every few minutes to see his follower base grow larger and larger.
