Metal Gear Solid 5 will not be making an appearance this year and Metal Gear Solid 4 will NOT be ported over to the NGP upon its release. However, MGS 3D will be hitting this year for the Nintendo 3DS so at least Nintendo fans will have that to fall back on.
Metal Gear Solid 5 will not even be officially announced by that time which obviously makes the prospective November 1st, 2011 release date unreasonable at best. They don’t just release games a few months after announcement…except Duke Nukem Forever.
Hideo Kojima answered these questions and more on his podcast. He just answered yes or no to a litany of simple questions so there isn’t much elaboration. The only other news that comes out of this Kojima Productions podcast is that there will be some kind of big event for Metal Gear’s 25th anniversary next year.
