Daily Gaming Wrap Up January 11th

jmaltz@pnosker.com January 12, 2011 0

We're all back and settled in after CES and although we may be hard at work putting together everything into lovely easily digestible coverage, the video game world doesn't much care.  Today we've got dates for a budget shooter, a Pokemon tour to see Black & White in action and a very creative side-scrolling shooter coming out of Ubisoft

Want some new shooter action at a low price tag?  Perhaps you should check out Modern Combat: Domination.  Gameloft announced today that its Move-enabled shooter will be bringing its tactical FPS action to the PSN on January 19th.

Modern Combat: Domination will bring 5 maps, 72+ experience levels, and 720p graphics exclusively onto the PSN come January 19th

We've seen a lot of side scrolling shooters in our day, but very few actually impress with unique game mechanics.  Zeit2 actually does something different: forcing pilots to use time manipulation to navigate through waves of enemies.  Check out this new developer diary that explains how the game went from being a college student project to published by Ubisoft.

Zeit2 will release on January 12th on XBLA and PC

Cliff Bleszinski aka "Cliffy B", isby his own admission "the Tony Stark of Video Games", meaning he can be brash, outspoken, and pretty darn hilarious at times.  Today the funnier side came out as Epic Games released a new trailer for their upcoming shooter Bulletstorm, showing how Cliffy B has fulfilled his life goal.

Bulletstorm will release on February 25th, 2011 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
