AURA Breathalyzer – Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day Safely

It’s St. Patrick’s Day this Monday, though let’s be honest, you probably have been drinking this entire weekend.  We all know how fun drinking with your friends can be, but it can be easy to lose track of how many drinks you have had while catching up with your buddies.  Staying safe while drinking is vitally important, so keeping track of your Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) level is key to having a good time responsibly.  One way to monitor your BAC level is by using a personal breathalyzer.

The issue with current personal breathalyzers on the market is that they are too big to carry around and look like a mini police version, which adds a stigma to the user.  If you think people will judge you for using a device, you probably won’t use it.

Luckily for partiers that want a luxurious, fashion-forward way to drink responsibly, a new personal breathalyzer is coming to the market next month – the AURA Breathalyzer.

I first demoed the AURA Breathalyzer just under two weeks ago at the Luxury Technology Show in New York City.  The AURA is the first product designed by Ho International Design (HIDI), a company founded in 2013 with a mission to design unique luxury products.  I met with CFO and COO Chris Surapol, who explained to me that the AURA is designed to be a fashionable alternative to traditional personal breathalyzers.

We briefly tested the AURA on-site, and at first glance it is extremely stylish and easy to use.  The AURA will also easily fit into your pocket or handbag for your night on the town, allowing for discrete use.  Though to be honest, the stylish design of the AURA will make you want to use it in front of your friends.  Be the responsible drinking trendsetter and enjoy your adult beverages while staying safe.

HIDI plans to launch the AURA Breathalyzer at a price of $250.  The AURA breathalyzer will hit the market in about a month, and Team AURA plans to send me a finished unit for review, so make sure you keep checking out pnosker.com for a full review later in the spring.
