Google Opens Google Fiber Registration: Gigabit and Free Conventional Internet for the Masses

Google unwrapped their Fiber deployment site today at Google Fiber. Inside you can pre-register if you’re a Kansas City resident and sign up for deployment details if you live elsewhere.

The most interesting aspect of the site is taking a look at their plans.

They will offer 3 options:

$120/month for 1000 Mbps internet and TV
$70/month for 1000 Mbps internet
$0/month + $300 (or $25/month for a year) installation/setup fee for 5 Mbps (1 Mbps upload) guaranteed for 7 years

The $120/month plan comes with a Nexus 7 tablet and all three plans offer a $299 Chromebook with the plan.

Another interesting point is that the gigabit plans come with a full gigabit of upload. Additionally, all plans have no data caps.

I can’t wait for Google Fiber to move into New Jersey so I can switch. Sign up for details and maybe Google will move into your city soon!
