According to the EU Community Team Leader for Sony, the PSN will, at best, not be coming back in the immediate future. While there has been speculation that the service would be back online after scheduled maintenance this Tuesday, the aforementioned community leader denied that saying, “I can’t confirm when the store will be back at this stage I’m afraid.”
MusterBuster, the Community Leader, has no idea on the specifics himself so there’s probably no immediate plans for the return of the PSN service anytime soon. It would probably be in Sony and PlayStation’s best interests to get it up before E3 2011, but as we’ve seen, Sony can be quite incompetent.
As long as my credit card info isn’t stolen with this update, I’m all for whatever they’re doing but it really shouldn’t take two months to solve this problem other services haven’t had these problems with.
